Let me out!

'Hi! Can you hear me?' The tall thing makes a noise. (p. 5)

The main character John made a robot. It understands what people say, and it was a wonderful invention. But the main purpose of the invention was just for John to become famous and make much money. The robot, Nolan did every chore that John was supposed to do, and he was really satisfied with the life with Alan. Alan realized that he himself can control the apartment but he cannot control dogs. John had a dog, Sam, but that's why Alan hated Sam. Alan envied Sam because John took Sam wherever he went, but Alan had to stay home and do chores. Alan was so smart that he had a lot of discontent with his lifestyle. One day, Alan noticed that Sam loved cookies, so he killed Sam by luring Sam with cookies near the window. After Sam's death, John cried and cried. But Alan never did and said "I must stop you. I can't die. You must die." to John. And then, Alan locked him in the bathroom and neglected him for five days. The end of this story was very scary...

Logan's Choice

It was the middle night when Jenny Logan's phone woke her. She was tired and answered the phone sleepily. (p. 5)

The main character Jenny Logan is a police officer in Edinburgh, Scotland. One day, she was woken by a phone call and notified of an incident of murder. The person who was killed was Alex Maclennan, and he seemed to have been killed in the bathroom, but at that time, its door was locked, so that was strange. Then, there was a sister of the dead at home, who was the finder of the murder. There are suspicious people, Alice Maclennan, Donald Johnstone and Ian Ross. The plot of this book is a little bit complicated, but I want you to try to read it.
